The original work on Switch Words has come through James T. Mangan and his book, The Secret of Perfect Living

Mr. Mangans discovery started with the Master Switch Word, TOGETHER. Mr. Mangan believed that our conscious and subconscious were often at odds, and there was a desire and need to find union of what he referred to as our “two-selves”, the conscious and the subconscious.

As he came across the word TOGETHER, he began consciously repeating it over and over again in his head. For a number of days, he felt a sense of peace and at ease. Although, after a few days, the ease began to subside, and the word TOGETHER did not have the effect that it had when he started his repetitive chants.

This led him to discover that TOGETHER is a Master Switch Word, and there are many sub Switch Words that work with such Master Switch Words.

The best way I have to describe this is if you can imagine the circuit breaker in your home. There is that one “Master Switch” at the top, where if you were to turn that off, all the power in your house goes out. Although, when you turn it on, it allows for all the power and energy in your house to flow freely, provided the sub switches are connected, turned on, and working. These sub switches are the other Switch Words you will learn about, that pin point and target your desired goals and results.

Switchwords are simple, fun, and often make no "conscious" sense in how they speak to our subconscious.
